CANON

The Word of God is being openly challenged today, even within the Church.  And it is up to us as God-fearing Christian’s to stand up and defend the integrity of Scripture and to give a reason for our confidence in it’s timeless, eternal, and flawless character.

THE BRAVEHEARTED GOSPEL

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is manly.  It is stout, vigorous, almighty, and fully able to save.  When the manly stuff is brought back to the Church, it causes a sharp discomfort to the human soul. But such is the message of the Cross – which calls a man to die in order that He truly might live. 

FLESH VS. SPIRIT

There is part of you that wants to go deeper with Christ and there is part of you that resists the fully surrendered life.  What a strange reality we all live in when such varying longings stir within us.  As it said of Rebekah in Genesis chapter 25 -  “two nations are at war within you.”  The question is, who is going to win?   Will it be your flesh or will it be God’s Spirit? 

THE GOSPEL

The Gospel is far more than good news.  It’s the greatest, most stunning, most humbling, and most bewildering news in the history of History itself.   The Christianity of our day, stops short of the full picture of the Gospel in its presentation.  We often accept the forgiveness of sins as the totality of Gospel girth, but that is only the beginning of what Jesus Christ accomplished on that Tree. 

THE ENDLESS FRONTIER

What if our one step forward into this Christian life and experience, is still ten thousand steps short of where God is desiring to take us?  The concept of the Endless Frontier has greatly impacted the life, ministry, and writings of Eric and Leslie Ludy, and thusly, it has also impacted the way Ellerslie has been built.  

TRUE PURITY

Purity is more than a moral line in the proverbial sand.  It’s an attitude, a lifestyle, a heavenly bearing.  If relational success is the goal, then purity is not an optional thing.  It’s a requirement in order to find love, marriage, and family that really thrives. 

HONOR

The Christian witness in our modern world is missing something.  It is missing it’s nobility, it’s majesty, it’s gallantry, and it’s Kingdom decorum.  Christianity has lost it’s understanding of holiness, of living as if we are in the throne room of a King.  Oh, to see the return of Christians that demonstrate to this world what the behavior of heaven is really like. 

THE MIGHTY INTERCESSOR

This is the very first Ellerslie sermon delivered in the chapel on the Ellerslie Campus.  And it is the perfect enunciation of what Ellerslie Training is all about.  It’s about being made strong to be poured out for the weak.

SECRETS TO AN AMAZING LOVE STORY

The way we handle our sexuality often defines the entire course of our lives.  It’s a litmus test for our true spiritual state.  And, unfortunately, it all too often reveals the measure of selfishness, flesh control, and worldly influence that has been allowed into our thinking and living patterns.  However, there is a Biblical blueprint for handling our sexuality that breeds beautiful, lifelong marriages and sponsors vibrant spiritual growth.  Ellerslie is interested in training students in this heavenly pattern for God-centered romance.
