Our Vision
We have a dream. It’s a dream to see the Church of Jesus Christ regain its ancient swagger and to showcase, once again, the almighty majesty of God. We have a dream to see the Church swap out its current cohort of powerless theologically-dogmatic intellectuals for Spirit-empowered, love-built, Scripture-trembling delegates of the Most High.
We have a dream of building a form of training here at Ellerslie that raises up spiritual leaders chock full of grace and truth. We have a dream to see a form of ministry and pastoral training arise that forges a different sort of leader — ones whose lips are touched with a burning coal from the altar of God — men and women who are built to serve, built to suffer, and built to die with a song of triumph in their hearts.
That dream, in a nutshell, is our reason for launching Ellerslie 2.0. If this vision stirs your heart, we invite you to join our beta/pilot launch of Ellerslie 2.0, February 23–May 15, 2026. This will be a virtual program, so you can join from anywhere in the world! All virtual classes will be taught LIVE online, with recordings available if you can’t make the scheduled class times. An intentional community of Christ-focused believers will be cultivated through this program, and you can help us shape the new Ellerslie 2.0 as we prepare to officially launch it in the fall of 2026! We will also be hosting an optional Ellerslie 2.0 in-person event at the Ellerslie Campus in early May, and we’d love to have you join us.
For the Kingdom and the King’s glory,
Eric Ludy and Nathan Johnson

FAQ
Ellerslie 2.0 is our new multi-year training for deeper discipleship, ministry preparation, and for those with a pastoral call. Our heart and passion is to equip believers for real world impact and triumphant living.
While important, our training focuses on more than academic information; we place greater emphasis on the devotional life—walking in obedience to Scripture, developing a growing intimacy and depth with Christ, and living and declaring the Gospel to the world. We desire for all ministry to flow from a life that is fully given and available to Jesus Christ, not merely based on academic understanding.
Students (men and women) are welcome to attend a single semester (12 weeks), but are encouraged to participate in the entire two-year program (4 semesters). Men who are specifically called to pastoral ministry may attend year three. Semesters are held each Fall (mid-Sept – early Dec) and Spring (mid-Feb – early May).
- Year One Focus: Deeper Discipleship and Practical Christian Living
- Year Two Focus: Ministry Preparation
- Year Three Focus: Pastoral Training (for men only)
While still in development, our current plan is to offer year one and two virtually through live online classes (also available as a recorded video afterwards for those who are unable to make the live class times)—so students can attend from anywhere in the world and participate even if they have full-time jobs, schooling, or other responsibilities. We also have an optional in-person intensive (what we call a Cambridge Gathering) each semester on the Ellerslie Campus (see FAQ below for more details).
Beta/Pilot Program (Spring 2026)
We are launching a virtual (online) beta/pilot semester in Spring 2026 (register now to lock in the lowest tuition prices, applied to future semesters if you continue to attend through year two). This beta/pilot semester will count toward graduation of the program … and students in this introductory program will be able to help us shape the program for future semesters.
Official Launch (Fall 2026)
We officially plan to start the new Ellerslie 2.0 program in Fall 2026 (mid-September).
There is something special about the first group that goes through a new program. Not only do they get to help us shape and mold it for future semesters (i.e., student guinea pigs), but some of our favorite memories and stories come from the first group of a program.
On a more practical level, when you join us for the Spring 2026 beta/pilot version of Ellerslie 2.0, not only is it virtual (you can do it anywhere around the world), with live classes online that are filmed and available afterwards for those unable to make the live class, but it is uniquely structured so that you can continue your full-time job, school, and/or family responsibilities.
As a bonus, if you join us for the Spring 2026 beta/pilot program, not only will you get the lowest price for Ellerslie 2.0, but you will also lock in that tuition price for the first two years if you decide to continue the Ellerslie 2.0 program after the beta/pilot semetser.
So don’t wait, register now for the Ellerslie 2.0 Beta/Pilot Program starting February 23, 2026.
Yes, you must have attended either Ellerslie’s Weeklong or 5-Week Classic Trainings. These “Ellerslie 1.0” programs lay the foundation upon which we are building Ellerslie 2.0 and thus completion of either program is necessary before attending Ellerslie 2.0.
If you are interested in Ellerslie 2.0 and have not attended one of our other programs, consider joining us May 2026 for our next Weeklong Training or Summer 2026 for one of our Classic (5-week) Trainings … and then attend the official first semester of Ellerslie 2.0 starting September 2026.
What if I only attended the Ellerslie Online (At-Home) Program?
Unfortunately, we are only accepting students who have completed either the Weeklong or 5-Week Classic programs. If you’d like to talk through your situation specifically, feel free to reach out to our admissions team.
Yes! Not only will the semester count toward your completion of the Ellerslie 2.0 program, but you will also be able to help us shape the program by giving feedback throughout the Beta/Pilot program. As a bonus, when you attend the Beta/Pilot version, you will lock in a special “Beta Pricing” that will continue for the first two years of the Ellerslie 2.0 program if you choose to continue after the Beta semester (Spring 2026).
We are planning for Ellerslie 2.0 to be a two-year program with an additional year (year three) for men who are interested in pursuing pastoral training.
- Year Three Focus: Pastoral Training (for men only)
For the Beta/Pilot program, we plan to have live classes held virtually (online) throughout the twelve week semester—approximately 60 minutes of instruction followed by 20–30 minutes of discussion and/or Q&A. Classes are currently scheduled for:
- Mondays 7:00-8:30 am MST
- Tuesdays 7:00-8:30 pm MST
- Thursdays 7:00-8:30 pm MST
- Fridays 7:00-8:30 am MST
- Saturday Prayer Call 7:00–7:55 am MST
- Saturday Debrief and Discussion 8:00–9:00 am MST
- Note: class day/times may change
If you are unable to attend the live classes online, a video recording will be made available afterwards in our classroom/community app.
Other time commitments
Each semester will include Bible reading and homework assignments. While a student may take the material as deep as they desire (i.e., if they have more time), we ask for a minimum of a couple of hours of additional study outside of class times.
Bonus Option: Cambridge Gathering
Students are encouraged to attend the Cambridge Gathering (Wednesday, May 6 – Saturday, May 9). This live event on the Ellerslie Campus will include additional instruction, fellowship with other students in the Ellerslie 2.0 program, and a whole lot of fun. See FAQ below for more details.
While we’d love for you to consider joining us for the multi-year program, we understand this may not be possible for some students. As such, you are welcome to attend the online Beta Ellerslie 2.0 program in Spring 2026 and then end your participation in Ellerslie 2.0.
We desire to disciple both men and women for practical life and ministry. As such, the first two years of our new program will be available for both men and women to attend. The third year, specifically for pastoral training, will be available only to men.
Currently, the Ellerslie 2.0 program is only available virtually (online) with live classes taught 4-5 times weekly (see “What is the Time Commitment for the Program” FAQ above for more details). Though these live classes will be taught online, they will also be recorded for those who are unable to attend the live class. There is a bonus (optional) in-person event on the Ellerslie Campus (May 6–9, 2026) for students who are enrolled in Ellerslie 2.0 called “The Cambridge Gathering.” See “What is the Cambridge Gathering” FAQ below for more details.
No. If you attend the Beta/Pilot program this Spring and continue on in the Fall, you will start your second semester while those just joining will be in their first semester. In other words, the classes you take this Spring in the Beta program will be different than the classes offered in the Fall.
The Cambridge Gathering is a bonus event for Ellerslie 2.0 students to gather in person on the Ellerslie Campus for several days of fellowship and special intensive training.
This gathering is only available to students currently enrolled in Ellerslie 2.0.
This bonus training is available for an additional cost of $350/person (for on or off campus housing) and includes meals Thursday breakfast through Saturday lunch.
Overview of the schedule for the Cambridge Gathering:
Wednesday: arrive and get settled, optional prayer evening with our local church
Thursday–Friday: fellowship, special training, bonus options
Saturday: finish the Gathering in the morning, able to leave to head back home Saturday afternoon/evening … or stick around for a bonus day and join our church service Sunday morning
More details about the Cambridge Gathering are forthcoming.
Ellerslie 2.0 is our new semester-based and multi-year program that contains brand new content and focuses on deeper discipleship and ministry and pastoral training. While classes are held virtually (online), they are live instruction with discussion and Q&A with the instructors. This program is for students who have completed either the Weeklong or 5-Week Classic Trainings. For more information see “What is Ellerslie 2.0” in the FAQ above.
Ellerslie At-Home (formally called “Ellerslie Online”) takes the best of our “Ellerslie 1.0” material and structures it into key themes that you can go through at your own pace from anywhere in the world. These discipleship training videos are pre-recorded, and with your lifelong access, you can go through the material again and again. Learn more about Ellerslie Online (now called Ellerslie At-Home).
