Our Vision
We have a dream. It’s a dream to see the Church of Jesus Christ regain its ancient swagger and to showcase, once again, the almighty majesty of God.
We have a dream to see the Church swap out its current cohort of powerless theologically-dogmatic intellectuals for Spirit-empowered, love-built, Scripture-trembling delegates of the Most High.
We have a dream of building a form of training here at Ellerslie that actually raises up spiritual leaders chock full of grace and truth. We have a dream to see a form of pastoral training arise that forges a different sort of pastor — ones whose lips are touched with a burning coal from the altar of God — men built to serve, built to suffer, and built to die with a song of triumph in their hearts.
We realize that this is an impossible sort of dream. But aren’t those the kind of dreams that God can bless?

NOTE: All the answers below are “God Willing.” While we currently build out the program, please know that we are still working through practical details and some information may change as things progress (please check back to this page for the current information as it becomes available).
Yes, God willing. While we are walking forward with open hands, prayerfully seeking what God desires to do with Ellerslie in this next season of human history, it is our current expectation that we will be launching the Ellerslie 2.0 program in 2026.
We officially plan to start the new program in Fall 2026. That said, we are prayerfully considering a pilot (beta) program starting in the Spring of 2026.
No, this is just our placeholder as we currently work on possible names for this extended training.
While we are still prayerfully considering everything, our current placeholder is that we will be offering one, two, and three-year options to students. The first year will focus specifically on deeper discipleship and practical Christian living. The second year will emphasize ministry and leadership preparation. And the third year will be specifically for pastoral training (this third year will be available to men only).
Each year of the program will include two twelve-week semesters, one in the Fall (mid-September through early December) and one in the Spring (February through April).
We desire to disciple both men and women for practical life and ministry. As such, the first two years of our new program will be available for both men and women to attend. The third year, specifically for pastoral training, will be available only to men.
Both options have strengths and weaknesses, and this is one of the key things our team is currently talking and praying through. More details will be coming soon.
