Someone fiddled with the space-time continuum and now history is a hot mess. The legendary outlaw of Sherwood Forest isn't behaving very legendary. Meanwhile, a pair of dastardly villains are scripting a history rewrite, and a stolen Datsun has somehow found its way into medieval England.
And skinny Will Scarlett has been bitten by a hyperactive spider and may or may not have morphed into a superhero to save the day.

It's fast. It's ridiculous. It's occasionally heroic. And somewhere beneath all the sword fights, medieval mayhem, historical vandalism, and general nonsense is a story with a gargantuan heart.

Then we made the mistake of
turning it into an audiobook.
We imported a comedian from Australia to make the Hoodlum audiobook amazing.
As the story goes, Ben Price (a.k.a. Australia’s Best Impersonator) showed up in Windsor, Colorado, in late spring 2022 to give our ridiculous cast of Hoodlum characters their voices. We proceeded to spend two weeks capturing Ben’s audio while Hudson and I sat off-mic laughing hysterically.
Ben eventually returned to the Land Down Under, and we thought we had ourselves a gem.
And then the unthinkable happened.
Hudson and I, um ... rewrote the book.
We gulped, called Ben, and attempted to explain that we had just changed our entire 400-page novel. Ben was remarkably gracious and agreed to fly all the way back to Windsor to do it again.
So, in late spring 2024, we spent another two weeks re-recording character voices — and laughing hysterically all over again.
And now, here we are in 2026. After four years, two trips from Australia, four weeks in the studio, one massive rewrite, and a ridiculous amount of editing, the Hoodlum audiobook is finally ready.
This better be a really good audiobook.
