Political upheaval, natural disasters, global crisis — many of us have been groaning and complaining about the tumultuous times in which we live. But what if I were to tell you that you have been especially designed for this unique time in history?  In my new video, I talk about how we men as men of God can begin to realize that we have been given a great privilege — we’ve been chosen and set apart by God to shine His light and hope in the midst of darkness and chaos. We live in exciting days! And it’s time for us to catch the vision for what God can do through men who are fully surrendered to Him.  

TRANSCRIPT

How should a godly man view this time in history? There’s a lot of people that are wishing they lived in a different era. Why did they get stuck in this time period? Why do we have to go through such nonsense? Why do we have to have such political upheaval? Why do we have to have so many strange weather patterns? This is the dream time to be alive. That’s a godly man’s response, right there. You see a man is designed for the challenge. And so, as a result, when we see a more challenging topography in history we’re like, “I want to go there. I want to explore that.” You see when all things are falling to pieces is the time when a man can rise up and do what men do well. We are designed for challenge. We are designed for difficulty. Just because no one’s told us that does not mean it’s not true.

So as a result, maybe you just need to hear it. You are designed for the challenge. You were designed for this time in history. I can just imagine all the people of history lining up, and God’s able to say to them, “So, where in history would you want to live?” And you see sort of this chart that shows the difficulties, the times of challenge, and the times of ease. The times of ease go down, the times of challenge spike up. And who knows, maybe we live in one of those times that’s the highest peak of challenge, it’s just around the corner. And then everyone leans in and goes, “Oh, could I live then?” Because that’s going to be the time when you understand the grace of God in a greater degree, the consolation of the Holy Spirit in a greater degree. That’s when God is going to move in the greatest degree. It’s like, who wouldn’t want this time?

If you’ve ever watched a documentary that had no tension in it, it’s just some factual understanding of like honeybees or something like that, it doesn’t move you. It doesn’t stir you. It could be factual, but it doesn’t move you at any level. You see, there’s a big difference between a documentary and an action drama where there is peril, where there is challenge, where there’s impossibility that has to be overcome. And every single one of us would agree it’s the perilous storyline that we’re all attracted to. We just don’t really want to be the one in it. We don’t want to be the leading character in a perilous tale — or do we?

You see the godly man’s response to this time in history is to lick his chops and to say, “Thank You, Lord, for giving me such an opportunity as to live now.” We have one shot at this thing called life. Let’s not waste it. Let’s use it to the uttermost.
