Back when Leslie and I first became engaged, I constantly heard joking comments about giving up my freedom in exchange for the “old ball and chain.” Few people in my life passed along a beautiful, epic vision for what my marriage could be. In fact, many Christians told me not to get my hopes too high for marriage and tried to prepare me for disappointment, based on what they themselves had experienced.

But I have learned that when God writes a love story, it’s not supposed to have a dismal ending. In my new video I talk about the fact that while marriage may never be perfect, it can be a picture of Heaven on earth – when Christ is given His rightful place in a relationship.
