What can you do when you’ve done everything wrong in your marriage? Is there hope? With Jesus Christ, there is always hope. In this week’s video I share some important words of encouragement for those who are in that suffocating place where the enemy is whispering, “just give up.” I pray these words will ignite fresh, supernatural hope within your soul. Jesus never tells us to just give up — He has a better way!

There are a lot of marriages that stink — in fact, a shocking amount of marriages. Now, there are a lot of great marriages, too. But there are a shocking amount of marriages in the Church of Jesus Christ today that are just … unhealthy. They never had a good, solid foundation. So many men have not functioned as true men – they have not treated their bride as Christ would — and this has had a deteriorating effect upon their marriage relationship. So, here’s the key question: is there hope? For instance, if you’ve gotten 10 years into a marriage and you haven’t done it well, is there any hope for that marriage?

According to natural-man thinking, you would say, “You’ve gone too deep, you’ve gone too far. You might as well just reset. Just try it over. Divorce and try it again.” But that is not God’s system; it’s not His economy. He loves to take rubbish and recycle it. He just does. I mean, He’s really into that stuff — He loves to take mess ups, boneheaded maneuvers, the dumbest things that anyone has ever done and somehow convert them into an entirely beautiful picture of His redemptive plan. And so here’s what I would say to anyone who is in that sort of suffocating place where the enemy’s whispering, “It’s hopeless. There’s no way you can get out of this.” Defy it. Turn to Jesus Christ and say, “God, You love rubbish. You love hopeless situations. So here’s one.”

I guarantee you, He can turn it. Guaranteed! I know the power of my God. He loves to transform situations just like that. My training on manhood is not just for fathers and sons — it’s for every man that needs a fresh vision and a fresh hope of what he is here for on earth. Because the moment a man sees it — watch out, world — he becomes a lethal weapon.

The moment a man recognizes the significance of his life, the importance of the way he’s created — wow, game-changer right there! Marriages can change on a dime when a man sees that. A man’s life, his calling, his purpose can change on a dime the moment he sees that. His parenting can change on a dime the moment he sees that. His leadership, his influence, his impact for the Gospel can change on a dime the moment he sees why he is here and how he is supposed to live this life. By the power of the Holy Spirit, it alters him and it changes his life. There’s always hope. There’s always good news in the Kingdom of Heaven.
